Cherry Blossoms SlotsThere is a lot to like in Cherry Blossoms Slots . Featuring an incredible jackpot, unmistakable sense of style, and tight gameplay mechanics, Cherry Blossoms Slots is an Asian themed slot that stands above the rest on multiple levels. Playing it is a joy, looking at it is a treasure, and the only thing holding back the experience is the not up to par UI. If you are a fan of Japanese art, winning money, and generally are looking to zen out to the tune of either, then Cherry Blossoms Slots is right up your alley. We enjoyed our time with it, and mostly wished they had put the same effort into the UI as they did the graphics, which is an admittedly minor complaint.
PremiseThe premise of Cherry Blossoms Slots is that Japanese art is beautiful, and we should all enjoy it. Everything here is ripped from that continent, and fairly faithfully done without seeming trite. The inclusion of English suits of playing cards is an odd touch, but everything else is fairly faithful to the source material, and makes for a nice experience that people of all cultures can appreciate.
PresentationThe only odd choice here in Cherry Blossoms Slots is the Western suits of playing cards being included alongside things like Japanese fans and assorted art. This would have been the perfect opportunity to use Kanji or something similar, making it feel like a misstep in an otherwise well directed and executed slot game. Graphics in Cherry Blossoms Slots are the main draw alongside that jackpot, and it is no wonder why. Using a subdued color palette themed after the titular Cherry Blossoms, everything in this slot is clean, clear, crisp, colorful, and inviting. Almost everything, anyway. The background and UI leave a lot to be desired, but they blend in well enough that after a few spins you will likely stop noticing how much better the reel graphics look.
MechanicsThe gameplay in Cherry Blossoms Slots is fairly standard, which is not a bad thing. Part of the zen approach to this makes it seem sound in some respects, adding to its charm in ways that in any other context might seem a bit lazy. Being a 5 reel game with 20 paylines, it keeps things interesting as you are spinning. The betting amounts are also very accessible, spending as little as a penny a line, with a jackpot that is worth 12,500 coins. For reference, this is a lot, most games topping out at around the 4.5k mark. A host of usual multipliers and scatters and wildcards are present, but the main draws are the accessible betting amounts and the generous jackpot.
Likes+ Wonderful art style + Nice jackpot + Good sense of pacing + Decently accessible betting amounts
Dislikes- UI is sub par by comparison to the rest of the game
